Photographer Bastian Kalous from Germany is experimenting with old oil photographs. His type is mysterious landscapes and blurred portraits.

The 842-metre-long bridge connects Abu Dhabi Island with the mainland and comprises a sequence of concrete waves that curve up and down from the water to reach a height of 64 metres. A four-lane highway runs across and the two road decks are cantilevered from the sides of the structure.

Artist’s statement:
“A series of drawings produced using drawing implements attached to the tips of tree branches, the wind’s effects on the tree recorded on paper.
Like signatures each drawing reveals the different qualities and characteristics of each tree.”
